Winterschool is a project organized for medical students from all over the world and takes place from Sunday December 30th, 2007 till Saturday January 5th, 2008 in Leiden, Netherlands. In this week, they offer an education programme around the theme: 'Transplantation Medicine'.
Organ transplantation is a part of medicine that is relatively new, but it is rapidly developing and will become more and more important in modern medicine. Their aim is to increase awareness and knowledge in medical students of what is involved in organ transplantation. Not only surgery itself, but also concepts of immunology and ethics are an important part of transplantation medicine.

::: FEEDBACK :::
Monday 13 August 2007 - 08:46:04 email to someone printer friendly

Dear EMSA Summer School participants,
Dear colleges,
Dear friends,

Wow, another EMSA Summer School (ESS) is over. And it was great!
Yes, there were times when it was so hard that I thought about giving up, and there were times when the spirit of ESS raised me so high that I could touch the sky….
All in all, it was a rollercoaster that I wish to repeat over and over again.

We still have some work to do with ESS2007, but the preparations for ESS2008 are slowly, but surely starting. My wish is to be the President of the Organizing Committee once again. Call me masochistic or call me a perfectionist.
So, this is the reason why I am asking all of you ESS2004-2007 participants and all the rest to, please, give me comments, critics, advices, write to me things that you liked and disliked…

Next ESS is the fifth School, so we will be having, well let’s just call it, a small birthday surprise. This is also one reason more to make ESS2008 better than all the rest.

I believe that the topic “Emergency medicine” will stay the same, because it is the experience that this is one of the most interesting and important topics in medicine. There is always something new you can learn, new skill to acquire or improve…there is always a life you can save…

I could write for hours but its time for me to stop, and for you to write me your feedbacks.

I hope seeing all of you again, maybe already in November in Zagreb on our ZIMS (www.zims.hr),

Until then,
All the best,

Vesna Buntak
The President of the Organizing Committee of EMSA Summer School 2007
